Christmas had to come early this year at the Hafer house, because Maddy and Bailey were going to be with their mom on Dec. 25th. So, we were able to call the parent hotline and arrange for an early drop-off. Deborah and Kendle were kind enough to come up and hang out with us from Monday afternoon until this morning. Tuesday night (our 'Christmas Eve') we made Christmas dinner and invited Dana and Tristin over to join us. Darrell's Dad had to work so he came over on Sunday night to exchange gifts with us.
After dinner we let the kids each open one gift, and we drove out to see "Christmas in the Park", the drive-through light display near the house. The girls could hardly manage to stay in their room and go to sleep, but finally around 2 am the adults got everything finished up and went to bed, after spending some quality time 'killing' each other on Call of Duty, Darrell's most recent video game.
Here are a few pictures of the festivities and merriment of the past few days.

Yeah, I figured you would get the bossy thing....hey, I still get it when Maria is not there!
ReplyDeleteTurning thirty was not too bad, I dreaded it more than I should have. Probably because my mom told me all my life I would get fat when I turned thirty.....so I am praying that is not true! you and Maria are 27!!! How did Nichola do with it?
You will also have to tell Nichola to give us an update!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement!
